I’m from Minneapolis, where I spent most of my life and where I learned to love books. I joined the Dr. Seuss Book Club in second grade and can still remember the joy I felt when each book arrived in the mail.
When I was six, my friend Earl gave me my first typewriter. It was the old-fashioned kind, in a soft green color, and it meant I was a real writer.
I graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN with a degree in English literature, did a lot of business writing for corporations for many years, and was an astrology editor for a time.
Now I live on the beautiful White River in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas with Tim and our little dog, Jimmy. There, I write, garden, and am finally learning to really cook.
Visit me at myspace and the Baxter Bulletin, where I blog.
I'd love to visit your school. Email me to discuss the possibilities.
